Valley Brewers's homebrew club member, Brian Cogan, participated in a single hop brewing contest and won for his Mandarina Bavaria Belgian Wit recipe. Brewed in the classic Witbier style using Belgian Wit yeast, Brian altered the recipe by adding coriander but no orange peel. For this Short Tank collaboration brew, which took place in the Arroyo Grande brewery, Brian added some Palisades hops for a complex taste along with citrus-forward Mandarina Hops.
