The San Diego Brewing Company hides in a nook of east Mission Valley, in the unremarkable shadow of Qualcomm Stadium. While the location is questionable, the abundance of taps (50) and quality of house brews leave no doubts. Karen Bernauer, the general manager, has turned around the once-besmirched San Diego Brewing Co. name and made the bar a haven for sports fans and craft beer aficionados longing for a reprieve from North Park. Expect to find brews from Alpine (despite their limited keg distribution), Alesmith, Russian River, and Allagash, and absolutely drink their house brews; their IPAs are some of the best in the county.
