Description by Laurie Delk
From the gothic chandeliers over the bar to the black-and-white posters of the Ramones, this place defines cool. Located in University Heights, Small Bar dons an impressive 42 taps, featuring a variety of American craft beers with special nods to the West Coast and to Belgian brews. And the food? Delicious. The biscuits with hop sausage gravy is a beer-lover’s dream, and the Guinness mac and cheese is the best brew-based dish this side of anywhere. Be sure to check out their meal-in-a-glass Brunch Bloody Mary. It's the stuff of legends, complete with a litany of accoutrements, including bacon and pork rinds. If you like it quiet, go in the afternoons. If you like the scene, check them out on weekend nights and Sunday brunch.
