$7.50 22 oz American Pale Ale 4.6%
Ballast Point Brewing Company, San Diego, CA
There's no wonder why our Pale Ale is so popular?it is skillfully crafted in the style of the Kolsch beers of Cologne, Germany. We've chosen German hops for aroma, and rounded out the recipe with a blend of American and German malts. While it is very much like a pilsner, our Pale Ale is fermented at ale temperatures, giving it a subdued fruitiness?a perfect compliment to the crispness of the wheat and maltiness of the Munich malt. If you like a lighter brew but also like the complexity of craft beers, then our Pale Ale is for you.
$8.50 22 oz American IPA 7.0%
Ballast Point Brewing Company, San Diego, CA
The Sculpin is a testament to our humble beginnings as Home Brew Mart. It showcases bright flavors and aromas of apricot, peach, mango & lemon. The lighter body also brings out the crispness of the hops. This delicious Ballast Point Ale won a gold medal at the World Beer Cup 2010 in the International Pale Ale category. The Sculpin fish has poisonous spikes on its fins that can give a strong sting. Ironically, the meat from a Sculpin is considered some of the tastiest. Something that has a sting but tastes great, sounds like a Ballast Point India Pale Ale.
A somewhat sweeter version of standard/premium lager with a little more body and flavor.
An intensely hoppy, very strong pale ale without the big maltiness and/or deeper malt flavors of an American barleywine. Strongly hopped, but clean, lacking harshness, and a tribute to historical IPAs. Drinkability is an important characteristic; not a heavy, sipping beer.
Brewed with oats for creaminess and spiced with the perfect combination of orange peel and coriander. An unfiltered wheat ale spiced in the Belgian tradition for an uncommonly smooth taste. Gold medalist (white beer) at 1995 World Beer Championships, silver medalist (white beer) at 1996 and 1997 World Beer Championships. 171 calories per 12-ounce serving and 5.4% abv.
Low gravity, low alcohol levels and low carbonation make this an easy-drinking beer. Some examples can be more malt balanced, but this should not override the overall bitter impression. Drinkability is a critical component of the style; emphasis is still on the bittering hop addition as opposed to the aggressive middle and late hopping seen in American ales.
Introduced nationally in 1982, Bud Light is brewed with a malt and hops ratio different from Budweiser for a distinctively crisp taste with fewer calories.
A premium light beer with 105 calories per 12-ounce serving.
CBC's overriding mission is to brew beers that are 100% true to our San Diego roots. Our spring seasonal, an unfiltered Belgian-style IPA, does so in spades thanks to aggressive West Coast hopping, while paying tasteful homage to Old World flavors and brewing traditions.
A golden, complex, effervescent, strong Belgian-style ale.
$7.00 22 oz Vienna Lager 4.5%
Cerveceria Cuauhtemoc Moctezuma, Monterrey, Mexico
Dos Equis Amber is a rich, full-bodied Mexican import with a reddish-gold color and is made from the finest ingredients, representing the brand’s traditional Mexican heritage. The history of Dos Equis Amber is traced to the development of the popular Oktoberfest-style of Vienna lager originally created during the mid-19th century.
Easy-drinking, approachable, malt-oriented American craft beer.
A decidedly hoppy and bitter, moderately strong American pale ale.
Very refreshing and thirst quenching.
Labatt's brew a pale ale base to which is added the unfermented but hopped Guinness wort extract. Guinness Extra Stout is brewed in Canada by Labatt under license from Arthur Guinness Son & Company.
Crisp, clean, refreshing beer that prominently features alight hop bitterness.
A decidedly hoppy and bitter, moderately strong American pale ale.
Brewed with half a ton of caramelized malts, our award-winning Irish Red has rich toffee flavors, notes of dried fruit, and a slightly sweet finish.
Light and crisp in aroma and flavor. Very refreshing and thirst quenching with strong carbonation.
Crisp, clean, refreshing beer that prominently features alight hop bitterness.
Like an American pale ale with more body, more caramel richness, and a balance more towards malt than hops (although hop rates can be significant).
A decidedly hoppy and bitter, moderately strong American pale ale.
Refreshing wheat or rye beers that can display more hop character and less yeast character than their German cousins.
Characterized by soft, elegant maltiness without being overly sweet.
This version has slightly less alcohol, bitterness and slightly more color than the bottled version. The hop varieties and malts used are the same.
Characterized by soft, elegant maltiness without being overly sweet.
